On April 7, 2026, Veritas College of Irosin (VCI) held its 9th Senior High School Graduation Exercises at the St. Michael the Archangel Parish Church in Irosin, Sorsogon. The ceremony centered on the theme: “Filipino Graduates: Prepared to Lead with Competence and Character” (Pilipinong Nagsipagtapos: Handang Mamuno nang may Kakayahan at Mabuting Pagkatao).
The event honored graduates across six diverse strands:
- Computer System Servicing
- Automotive Servicing
- STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics)
- HUMSS (Humanities and Social Sciences)
- GAS (General Academic Strand)
- ABM (Accountancy, Business and Management)
The afternoon was marked by heartfelt moments, including a Tribute to Parents accompanied by SB19’s “MAPA” and the graduates’ performance of their welcome song, “Hiraya”. Mr. Manuel T. Babasa, PhD, from the DepEd Regional Office V, served as the guest speaker, delivering an inspiring message on dreaming boldly and persevering through life’s challenges.
As the Class of 2026 sang their commencement song, “Saranggola” by Ben&Ben, they looked forward to a new chapter. Whether entering the workforce or pursuing higher education, these “Veritans” depart with a pledge of loyalty to their Alma Mater and the resilience to lead in an unpredictable world.
